Pra Loup is easily accessible, whether you are coming for a weekend or a long stay in the mountains.

Choosing public transport to reach Pra Loup means making a small gesture for the mountains… while gaining in comfort. Less stress at the wheel, less fatigue, no chains to assemble in a hurry: you arrive more serene, summer and winter.

Example of a route:
Train (AIX TGV) → Navette blanche → Barcelonnette / Pra Loup (with several stops in the resort).

Smart tip: in high season, remember to book in advance and check the updated schedules just before your departure (the schedules vary according to the period, the weather and the school holidays).

Tip : In winter and summer, remember to check the condition of the roads and access conditions, especially in case of snow or roadworks

Coming to Pra Loup by bus: convenient and comfortable

This is often the easiest option if you want to avoid the car:

  • Regular connections serve Barcelonnette from Gap and Digne-les-Bains (and depending on the period, from other starting points).
  • Once in Barcelonnette, shuttles go directly up to Pra Loup, with several stops to drop you off as close as possible to your accommodation, the resort center or the snow front.
  • From Marseille airport or Aix TGV with the white shuttles

From Barcelonnette:

  • Direct ascent to the resort
  • Stops spread throughout Pra Loup (ideal if you have luggage, a child, or equipment),
  • Connections designed to facilitate access to the resort.

What to plan before leaving:

  • Reservation (highly recommended in high season)
  • Updated schedules (school periods, weekends, events)
  • Connection time (keep a little margin if you arrive at the end of the day)

Coming to Pra Loup by plane: then transport to the valley

If you’re coming from a lot of distance, flying can be a first step. The most commonly used airports are:

  • Marseille-Provence
  • Nice Côte d’Azur

Then, the idea is to reach a train station or a bus hub (depending on your itinerary), then:
train/bus → Gap (or Digne / Embrun) → Barcelonnette → Pra Loup shuttle

Tip: If you want to limit your carbon footprint, choose a direct flight when possible and choose train + bus connections rather than car rental.
