Coming by train or plane
Pra Loup does not have an SNCF station directly in the resort. The journey is usually made in two stages:
Arrive by train at a connecting station : Aix-en-Provence TGV, Gap, Grenoble or Nice.
Go to Barcelonnette, then go up to Pra Loup thanks to the local shuttles.
From Barcelonnette, the free shuttles serve Pra Loup in season: about 3 round trips per day in July-August, and in winter up to 5 round trips per day outside school holidays and up to 10 round trips per day during school holidays.
From Aix-en-Provence TGV station
You can take the train to the Aix-en-Provence TGV station, which is served by many national lines. Once you arrive, you have two options:
Take a ZOU! to reach Pra Loup
From Aix-en-Provence TGV or Aix-en-Provence, ZOU! allow you to reach the Ubaye valley, especially Barcelonnette. Once in Barcelonnette, shuttles allow you to go up to the Pra Loup resort according to the period and the schedules in force.
Rent an electric car
Car rental can also be a practical solution to reach Pra Loup independently, discover the Ubaye valley at your own pace and get around easily during your stay.
Tip : Allow enough time for a connection between your train and bus, especially during busy periods or in winter weather conditions.


From Gap train station
The Gap train station is also a good gateway to reach Pra Loup by train. From Gap, it is possible to take a regional bus to Barcelonnette, then continue to Pra Loup using the local shuttles.
This option is particularly interesting if you arrive from the Hautes-Alpes, Grenoble, Valence or other regional lines.

Coming to Pra Loup from Nice
Nice airport:
From Nice Airport, it is possible to reach Barcelonnette and then Pra Loup by combining bus and connections to Marseille.
A first option is to walk to the airport bus station (Terminal 1), then take a Blablabus in the direction of Marseille – Gare Saint-Charles. Once you arrive in Marseille, simply go to the Gare Saint-Charles stop to take the Le Car A1 bus to Marseille Provence airport (Marignane). From the airport bus station, you continue your journey with the Zou! Express 50 in the direction of the Ubaye valley, to Barcelonnette – Place Aimé Gassier.
Another option is to reach Nice Saint-Augustin train station from the airport and then take a train Zou! TER in the direction of Marseille Saint-Charles. When you arrive, you will take the Le Car A1 bus to Marseille Provence airport. From there, the link continues with the Zou! Express 50 to Barcelonnette.
Please note: line 50 (Navettes Blanches) runs mainly on Saturdays and Sundays during the school holidays, and on some Fridays in February. Outside these dates, you must take the regular lines:
- line 68, which can reach Barcelonnette directly,
or - lines 68 or 69, with a connection at Tallard (Aéropôle) and then take line 535 towards Barcelonnette.
In any case, the finish is in the heart of Barcelonnette. Then simply take one of the free shuttles to Pra Loup resort.

Coming to Pra Loup from an airport
Marseille airport:
From Marseille Provence airport, several solutions are available to you to reach Barcelonnette and then Pra Loup.
A convenient route is to first reach the bus station in Aix-en-Provence on board the Le Car A2 bus. From there, you continue your journey with the Zou! Express 69 to the Aéropôle stop in Tallard. Finally, you get into the Zou! Proximity 535 in the direction of Barcelonnette, with an arrival at Place Aimé Gassier (bus station).
Arrival is usually in the early afternoon, depending on traffic and the time of year. Once there, all you have to do is take one of the free shuttles to reach the Pra Loup resort.
Nice airport:
From Nice Airport, it is possible to reach Barcelonnette and then Pra Loup by combining bus and connections.
One option is to walk to the airport bus station (Terminal 1) and then take a Blablabus in the direction of Marseille – Gare Saint-Charles. Once you arrive in Marseille, simply go to the Gare Saint-Charles stop to take the Le Car A1 bus to Marseille Provence airport (Marignane). From the airport bus station, you continue your journey with the Zou towards the Ubaye valley, to Barcelonnette – Place Aimé Gassier.

Another option is to reach the Digne Les Bains bus station (line 51 bus & train) from the airport, then take line 68 from the Digne Les Bains bus station towards Barcelonnette. When you arrive in Barcelonnette, you can reach the resort of Pra Loup thanks to our free shuttle service.

Take the train to Aix TGV station.
You have two options:
Take a Zou bus to get to Pra Loup resort
Rent a car
The train is a great option to reach the Alps while enjoying the journey.
The closest train stations to Pra Loup are Gap and Aix, both of which are well served by regional and national lines. From the station, bus or shuttle connections allow you to reach Barcelonnette, then the resort of Pra Loup.
In winter and summer, some connections are suitable for weekend arrivals and departures, ideal for short stays.
Tip : Allow enough time for a connection between your train and bus, especially during busy periods or in winter weather conditions.
