It was here that <strong>Bernard Th\u00e9venet put an end to the reign of Eddy Merckx during a mythical stage of the Tour de France<\/strong>. 217 km from Nice, and a breathless finale in the hairpin bends leading to the resort. A page of legend, and the beginning of a myth.   <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-button has-text-align-center is-style-3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.praloup.com\/toutes-les-experiences\/pra-loup-et-le-tour-de-france\/\" class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button btn\">  Pra Loup and the Tour de France<\/a><\/div>\n\n<p>Today, Pra Loup is not just a mountain resort: it is an <strong>essential playground for road cycling<\/strong>. Whether you are a climber at heart, a roller pass enthusiast or a Sunday cyclist, here you will find something to surpass yourself. <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-columns alignfull has-2-columns are-vertically-aligned-center layout-5050\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-column\"><div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ws-library-ws-title\"><h3>Iconic <strong>Bike<\/strong> Passes<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The climb to Pra Loup (1600m).<\/strong> This is the most famous road. 9.4 km from Barcelonnette, 5.3% average and passages at more than 10%. Short, nervous, intense \u2013 exactly like the one that gave Bernard Th\u00e9venet the victory.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Col d&#8217;Allos<\/strong>. 22 km of ascent between Ubaye and Verdon. 6% average gradient, balcony bends and a wild atmosphere. A mythical pass of the Tour not to be missed.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Col de la Cayolle<\/strong> (2,326 m). Its modern and well-equipped Bike Park offers five downhill trails with a difference in altitude of 550 m and up to 5.5 km in length. It welcomes all profiles: beginners, technical enthusiasts, experienced downhillers.   <\/p>\n\n<p>But the resort&#8217;s commitment does not stop there.
