Every day from 4 p.m. at the Tourist Office of Pra Loup 1600. Françoise BRIOIS, the president of the Bridge Club, offers you a different way to finish your day. A friendly atmosphere and the guarantee of meeting other enthusiasts!

The SNOWSCOOT, a superb way of sliding down the mountain. Entertaining and original, in a few hours you will go everywhere easily. Possibility of courses and subscriptions. Accessible by everyone.

At Pierre Rhom's Bike Shop you can hire mountain or road bikes, or take part in daily outings with this qualified instructor. Pierre offers transport to start points, travel to different sites, mini half day courses for children and teenagers. Pierre also trains future mountain bike instructors.

Come and share our passion for the mountains.  Chantal BONAGLIA and her team will introduce you to some fantastic 'panoramic' itineraries in the Ubaye.  Experienced guides for cross country skiing and snow-shoeing.  Walks are for full or half days, predominately in the area of outstanding natural beauty around the Ubaye and Mercantour.
Chantal is also available for evenings based around specific topics.
Cross country skiing lessons available for either groups or individuals, for all levels, either 'classical' or 'skating' style.

For this activity to be appreciated, it must be tackled in a recreational way so expect big slides and jumps into the powdery snow, and big descents rather than big climbs!

Live the emotions of the 'Big North'.  Everyday, while the ski resort is sleeping, Frederic Chaix takes you on snowmobile trips around the domain.  With evening or early morning trips you have the option of supper or breakfast at 2380m.
Wrapped up warm you will weave your way through the larches whilst the rest of the valley is asleep.  A simply extraordinary experience.

Located in Saint Pons (12 kilometres from Pra Loup 1600) is the "Centre  de Vol à Voile de l'Ubaye".The gliding school of the Ubaye valley offers sessions for both beginners and more experienced glider pilots.  Open all year long, the aerodrome of Barcelonnette welcomes you for your maiden flight in a plane or a trip round the valley at an altitude of more than 3000 metres ...

Orienté vers le Mexique et l'étude du mouvement migratoire, le musée a crée en 1995 un centre de documentation consacré aux archives de l'émigration Ubayenne en réseau avec l'Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP) et l'association Raices Francesas en Mexico (Racines Françaises au Mexique). Le musée de la Vallée recueille, recense photographies, documents manuscrits, lettres, correspondances commerciales, albums, objets, vêtements.... Il accueille et renseigne tous les descendants des émigrants à la recherche de leurs racines.

Depuis mai 2004, le musée de la Vallée à Barcelonnette est jumelé avec le museo comunitario de Ciudad Mendosa installé dans la fabrique textile séculaire toujours en activité, fondée en 1896 par Alexandre Reynaud (Vallée d'Orizaba, Etat de Veracruz).

Les saveurs et les goûts d'une vallée qui a su garder son authenticité ... Vous trouverez les produits locaux comme le fameux génépi ou la tome de l'Ubaye.

Pra Loup tennis club has two covered courts at Pra Loup 1500 and outdoor courts are available at 1600.  If you don't have all the gear you can borrow it by calling the manager, Jean Pierre GROSJEAN (Sébastien Grosjean's father!)  He also has tennis balls available to purchase.  Please note that the courts were fully renovated in the beginning of 2003. An adjacent car park next to the apartment building "Les Marmottes Bleues" makes your parking easier.

Looking for something to read during your stay in Pra Loup 1600?  Every Sunday from 5.15 p.m. to 6.45 p.m., visit us in our room in the playgroup chalet, ( centre of the resort). Books that you have borrowed can be returned to the tourist office.
