Women's Ski for Free Weekend

Ski for free at Pra Loup? Sure it's possible!!! For the 6th consecutive year, Pra Loup is again hosting a whole weekend dedicated to women who enjoy life on the pistes! Just for the ladies all ski lifts will be free for two days! They will also be able to benefit from a reduction of 50% on the hiring of equiment (rent Saturday = Sunday free). As in previous years, all females (there were more than 6000 last year)! can benefit fully from the snow and the southern sunshine at a fraction of the usual cost! There are many additional offers during this weekend, with many restaurants, bars, nightclubs etc offering free aperitifs for the ladies or similar offers.

21h30 : 1ère NUIT DES ETOILES. Grande soirée d'observation, promenade pédagogique dans la voie lactée.
Mardi 4 août : JOURNEE DE L'ASTRONOMIE
11h à 12h30 : Observation de l'activité du Soleil et des protubérances solaires avec le lunette Coronado
15h30 à 17h : Observation du soleil et de son activité nucléaire
18h à 19h : Conférence « Les derniers mystères du système solaire »
A partir de 21h30 : Grande soirée d'observation des étoiles avec projection de la lune sur grand écran
Mercredi 5 août : JOURNNE DE L'ASTRONOMIE
11h à 12h30 : Observation des flammes du soleil
15h30 à 17h : Observation du soleil et de sa surface
18h à 19h : Conférence « L'alchimie des étoiles ou le secret de l'évolution stellaire »
A partir de 21h30 : Grande soirée d'observation des étoiles interactives et des objets célestes en vision binoculaire. Une immersion totale dans l'espace.

With thirty-five nations expected to compete, this major ski competition unites skiers from all across the world. Each National ski federation can send up to eight racers to compete daily in the four disciplines, slalom, G.S., Super G and the Downhill.

Initiation into the sport of high-speed skiing. Supervised by Mr Xavier COUSSEAU, world record holder for highest speed on monoski with an astounding 212km/h and 10 x speed skiing world champion, take the opportunity to test your speed skiing on the Lac ski slope. All equipment provided, skis, spine protection, full face helmet etc.

Barcelonnette et le Jazz : une passion durable !
Quel est le point commun entre Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kyle Eastwood, Stéphane Grapelli, Chucho Valdes, Eddie Palmieri, Diane Reeves, Manu Katché, Richard Galliano, et Archie Shepp.... ? Depuis 1995, avec bien d'autres stars du jazz, ils ont tous joué sous les étoiles de Barcelonnette.
Le Festival des Enfants du Jazz s'installe chaque été mi-juillet à Barcelonnette et s'impose depuis 15 ans comme un événement phare des Alpes du Sud.

Mountain trail running event. Two routes: 42km, with 2500m height gain or 23km with a 1000m climb. Both routes start and finish in Barcelonnette and pass through stunning alpine scenery.

1er CHAMPIONNATS D'EUROPE ET DE FRANCE VTT MASTER

The first ever Mountain Bike Master European Championships take place this summer - if you missed the World Championships, which were held at Praloup in 07,08 and 09, then take advantage of this year's competition. Two disciplines, Downhill and Cross Country. The French Championships will be contested during the same event.
