Pra Loup 1500,

Two kilometres before Pra Loup 1600, stands the village of <Les Molanès> or Pra Loup 1500. It is a pleasant, quiet, residential area, nestled in amazing scenery.  Here you will find small and cosy establishments: Inns, country hotels and B&Bs, installed in traditional old stone buildings. Apartment buildings are more modern but also discreet. 
The Molanès chair lift will take you up to an altitude of 1820m where you will find not only the ski-slopes but also the 'Clos de Serre' restaurant where you can enjoy lunch with your family, or coffee with friends.
Clustered around the bottom of the chair-lift are several useful shops for ski-hire, newspapers, groceries etc.

Pra Loup 1600,

Two kilometres further along the road from Les Molanès is Pra Loup 1600, nestled in its forest of larch trees, overlooking the Barcelonnette valley. You will discover the charm of a typical Southern Alps resort, where the shopkeepers are warm and friendly and keen to share their love of Pra Loup, and their attachment to the Ubaye valley. The architecture dates from its creation in the late 60's, and the new outdoor, sheltered shopping arcade will delight both regular visitors and new tourists alike. Pra Loup 1600 is designed to make your stay in the snow easier, with a wide range of sport shops, bars, and boutiques ...not forgetting the sunny terraces of the restaurants, from where you can easily access the cable cars for the day's skiing.
